Ates Isildak has been composing original music for personal projects, bands, film and television since the age of 16, in Palm Beach County and Orlando Florida. He has recently completed his first audio installation for Northwood Village in Palm Beach County, commissioned by the City of West Palm Beach’s ArtLife department and the Northwood CRA. SAGITTARIUS AQUARIUS

Sagittarius Aquarius - Haunting melodies and intoxicating beats, nighttime bedlam for the bedroom of your mind. Sagittarius Aquarius is dark disco fantasy, cosmic filigree, and just a little cute. Comprised of Carly Cassano and Ates Isildak. They have released an EP on Soulsdeparted Miami boutique label Undisciplined Body, and have just finished a full length album set for release on vinyl on the Miami dance label created by Brother Dan called Terrestrial Funk. Their work has been remixed by Miami’s Afrobeta, Cyborg Rhetoric, Retrowerk, and Symbols. They have opened for touring acts Cumgirls, Death Valley Girls, and also performed at the 2023 Miami IIIPoints festival alongside acts like Iggy Pop, Alice Glass, Caribou, Fred Again, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and more.

 

THE BAND IN HEAVEN

A mixture of psychedelic rock, garage rock, shoegaze, dreampop as well as Turkish influences, the band in Heaven created music, performed live, and toured from 2011 to 2018. Their music was released on tape and vinyl by record labels Worker Bee Records, HoZac Records, Sonic Cathedral and Decades Records. Their songs and videos were premiered on outlets like Spin Magazine, Pitchfork, Noisey, Vice, and more. The played many music festivals such as: Austin Psych Fest, 4Knots NYC Music Festival, Art Basel Fountain Art Fair Miami, Hopscotch Music Festival Raleigh NC, AdHoc Present, CMJ New York, SXSW, & more. All songs written, recorded, engineered by Ates Isildak, backing band Lauren Dwyer, Jay Tillman, Ryan Burk, Ryan Schemm, Adolfo Bacigalupo, with occasional guest musicians and vocalists.
